I bought my d-jetted 74 around 1987, then when it rusted away, I dumped all the parts into my 73. It really does run pretty damn good, with a few quirks here and there. Doing the math, I've been running the same set-up for almost 17 years now and about 50k miles. At the rate I've been driving it, maybe 1000 miles a year, it may very well out live me.
I read somewhere that going carbed and getting rid of dinosaur jet was a way to go, and since I came across that manifold and carb a few weeks ago(for free), it got me thinking. Now it looks like I have another option, which is good. I don't plan on ever getting rid of the car.
