Is Saab a wise investment...really? long

Purchased a 2000 9-3 base model in Oct. Out the door it w/ TT&L it was $26K and was told it was a helluva deal. Didn't know much about Saabs and certainly not about this wonderful web site. Since then have had numerous problems and have considered trading. Had read about the poor aftermarket value of these cars from this website but had no idea just how bad it was. Via Edmunds.com found that my car is now worth at 8500 miles, right at $20K. Compared it to sale and resale value of a BMW 323i and was amazed at the difference in depreciation rates. My question...most people on this site seem to be pretty educated, frugal and wise given their posts, but I've yet to figure out why this car is a good investment. Is it a good car, yes. Is it phenomenal, no. Does it justify the high payment when in 5 years it will be worth virtually nothing to trade with...? I'm wondering. Please give me feedback from repeat Saabers as to why you'd keep going back to a vehicle which historically loses it's value geometrically faster than it's peers. I'd dump it if I could because I'm so disappointed at the poor choice I made, basing it on previous autos and average depreciation, but I feel really stuck and bitter at this point. Am open to your voices which are welcome advice.
