Can I consult with you on the resid/purchase/new lease decision in a year and a half? For sure we'll have a penalty in mileage but there are ways around that. I never could stand accounting in college but pulled down exceptionally good marks in business planning.
I hate the thought of p*ssing money away but at the same time I want what I want and I do have my brand loyalties and preferences. The GM Visa card made this one possible. When it came to a decision between a 2000 Impala and the '99 Saab demo, there was never any question which one I would choose having owned a Saab project car before.
If/when the real-life business plan works out, then money won't be the object but I don't believe in just tossing money away.
Thanks for your thoughtful and thorough analysis. I have to read it again.
