Some people over-analyze this...

Some people buy cars simply as utilitarian transportation (IMO Honda and Toyota). Some people buy cars simply for the sport (IMO Porsche, Ferrari, Corvette, etc.). Some people buy cars because they are cheap and get them to point A and B (IMO Hyundai -- which I will probably trade the wife's Rodeo in on soon). Some people buy cars because they are the fad (IMO Most SUVs). People who buy cars for investment are one of two things: collectors or idiots.
Me, I drive what I like and what I can get a good deal on. Turned out to be a SAAB this last time and I hope I can afford another one. Even if I were buying this SAAB and loosing money on it, I'd still do it again. The SAAB puts a smile on my face, something no other car did that had the same payment that I test drove.
You must also understand that Edmunds is not the final answer, if you would like to get rid of the car, try to sell it to someone who wants it. Give Scott the money and let him put it in the classifieds for you.
Sorry for the rambling, it's Friday.
Point is, if you don't like the car, take the hit and get rid of it. If you don't want to take the hit, keep it.
