And I can't blame anyone else but myself either.Got on the freeway and some asshole in a stupid Ford Aerostar minivan almost hits me as he's doing 75 in the right lane and has to go partway into the next lane over to continue at 75 instead of slowing down for 2 secs. to let me on the damn freeway.So I hopped on his bumper and was contemplating ramming him off the damn road when I happened to stray a little onto the generous shoulder and what did I see but a state trooper parked directly in my path.Whoops! 2things caused me to not see him,the fact I was tailgating the hell out of the minivan and couldn't see around him and my right headlite is out couldn't have helped either.So needless to say the trooper lights me up immediately and is quite pissed when he comes up to the car that I felt the need to drive on the shoulder where he was parked saying I could have killed him if he'd been out of the car which is probably true and a major screwup on my part.So I've only had one ticket since Nov.'88, the last 7.5 years driving turbo 16valve 2.0liter motor cars and only got caught speeding once being late to work the graveyard shift in '94 so my record is pretty clean.I didn't have a current insurance card with me so he gave me some grief for that but only wrote me up for having "wheels off the road" only a $71 fine which is the lowest here in WA I believe.He didn't bitch about my headlite out either.I think if I'd had my current insurance card with me he might have let me off but he was totally pissed, he was trying to get me to say I'd been drinking or falling asleep or on drugs which fortunately for me I wasn't, trying to explain why I'd been on the shoulder trying to kill him when all it was was a brain fart.My new tires aren't causing the car to pull hard to the left anymore so I'm not quite used to this straight line driving stuff yet. So I'll be going to court to mitigate the circumstances hoping for decreased fine and probabtion to get it off my record.Damn it though you guys jinxed me with all this ticket talk!I should have never read those posts!
