I was going to buy an Audi A4 Q 3.0 6sp until all these 9-5 deals came spilling out. These prices seem outrageous and I've lost most everything in the Stockalypse, so here's to value.
1. Will I be dissapointed with the power of the Linear in comparison to a. the 220HP Audi plant and b. the Arc or Aero. i don't like 4-bangers and haven't owned one since a 86 VW GTI. I don't like fours primarily for lack of smoothness and noise at revs.

2. is the Arc my answer? What's the deal with sticking a V6 between TWO fours and only 15HP gain over the base 2.3t. Please tell me it is smoother and eminently more refined. I want a stick. Is not that a N/C OPTION in the Arc? Do I really have to "pay" extra to have a manual since the auto is at the same price?

3. Is the Aero a HOT-rodder? I live in NYC and have very little ability to play at speed, nor with two kids do I have any desire. I do like the best of a model line (hence my desire for the a4 3.0) but is this a good choice.

BTW, are the incentives on the Arc and Aero as high as on the Linear?
