A Linear is quicker than the gold standard of sports sedans the 535i which was sold from '83 to '95 or so. No slouch, lot's of instant turbo torque where you really drive, sweet 5-speed auto tranny.
In my opinion the four is smoother and quieter than the six, has no cambelts, and is the genuine Saab creation.
Yes, but the Aero is one super Saab without the ride penalty of a 9-3 or Viggen, very civilized still. You could still toodle around NY in an Aero, but it is a genuine hot rod. And a great value.
Incentives are still huge on the Aero, not as huge as the Linear, plus the Linear is $3-5k cheaper and the difference in the incentives, which is less on the Aero, makes the gap thousands bigger, more like $5-7k.
