It is difficult to equate Repco pads with EBC Greenstuff in terms of the braking power as the braking systems themselves have changed dramatically from the 9000 to 9-5.
I've had Repco MetalMaster Pads on C900's and 9000s and in the decade they were introduced, offered their generation's solution to the heavy black brake dust.
I've had NG900's and 9-3's that squealed with the OE pads and OE rotors, so I dimiss the fact that only EBC pads or Repco pads squeal.
OE pads are the most destructive to the brake rotors as compared to these other solutions.
Ceramic pads would perhaps offer the best solution, but finding a mfr to make 50,000 sets a yr. for SAABs would be very difficult and costly.
