I don't understand what you're trying to say about Saab's recommendation. You're pointing out the differences in ACEA classifications, but you don't say how that's in conflict with Saab's wording.
And sorry to disagree (you're such a mensch!), but A5's "as-new" specs are more of a hybrid between A1's & A3's.
