I was thinking more of it this way...
Ultimately my goal is to get from point A to point B for less than it is costing me now. I am not a tree hugger and I freely admit that my intentions are purely selfish.
So, let's say that it costs me $.10 in gasoline to run my alternator long enough to produce enough electricity to split water into HHO gas. Let's say for argument's sake that I achieved a very efficient way to do this. I would like to know if I should expect the $.10 of gas to produce only an equal-cost value of HHO. In other words, what if $.10 worth of gas actually gives me enough HHO to create the energy-producing equivalent of $.30 of gasoline? Take thermodynamics out of the equasion and just talk cold-hard cash. I could then use less gas and save myself at least a percentage of the $.20 of gasoline I'm not burning. Multiply this by a years worth of driving and we're talking a considerably smaller hit to my wallet. You know the old saying; "it takes money to make money". I'd like to know if the cost of the gas invested in the process would give me a dividend.
