Limp home mode is hell. Your car has it. When the TCS fails in a way that the computer deems unsafe you enter LImp Home Mode. What happens is the electrical actuation to the gas pedal is shut off and it is solely a mechanical connection that requires a lot of effort to push down the gas pedal. The idle rate cuts in 1/2 for some reason. And then for some reason that is impossible to figure out the A/C compressor stops working. I don't know what the sweedes where thinking?
Anyways you may be able to resest a car in limp home mode by unplugging the ECU for a few minutes and then reconnecting it. Townsendimports says you can but no one has posted proof positive yet. Hope that helps.
