I'm not sure, but I think you are saying the car has TCS, but you're not sure whether it has limp-home mode: i.e. if the TCS gives problems, will you be totally stranded or will you have a way of getting home?
Assuming I have read your question correctly, you can rest assured that all TCS cars have limp-home mode. The problems people here talk about are related to the car experiencing a TCS fault and entering limp-home mode, which is not so nice to drive with (and I believe reduces turbo boost). It will definitely get you home, however, and on a long journey, you could probably get quite used to it. What happens is that when the TCS detects a fault somewhere, the electronic throttle stops working (you don't want a faulty system controlling your throttle!), but if you press the accelerator down far enough theree is a mechanical cable (a conventional throttle cable) that works the throttle. The reason it is so far down is so that it lags well behind the electronic throttle and doesn't interfere with it in normal use. The difficulty with limp-home mode is that the electronic throttle is what controls the idle, so the car will idle very slowly, if at all. I have experienced TCS limp-home mode and I had to keep a bit of pressure on the accelerator at junctions to stop the engine from dying.
Also, all your throttle control is in perhaps the last 1/3 of the accelerator travel. If you do encounter limp-home mode, you will be grateful that boost is reduced...
