Mine does the same, and I can always reset by just restarting the engine. I for mine was always a bit surprised that the LIMP would still be there after restart, like other people on this board have told. For me that would really make the situation unbearable.
Other than that, LIMP is bearable @ interstate, but you cannot maneuver in
city traffic. Don't count on that. The engine will stall frequently, and you will be busy keeping the car alive instead of watching the traffic.
BTW Can anybody tell me why the autobox shift points do change when the car gets into limp??? It doesn't upshift to 4 until you reach about 90 mph (which is about the max. speed stage 3 is designed for). So at highway speed you end up in ridiculously high revs. It is also considerable rougher in shifting
