My 92 9000T with 165K miles did break a chain. I was in the process of having it replaced but my procrastination is now going to cost me much more. I purchased a “warranty” which also covers timing chains. They require me to pay for any diagnostic work to see what they will cover. The shop that I have it at is going to put a chain on it and do a compression check, but it sounds like I will at least have to remove the head if not replace the engine, so this compression check may be a waist of time? Thanks for all of the help….Todd
