but I can't dispute your work. These engines are set up so that at any given time several valves should be either partially open or fully open. I can say without doubt that if your chain broke and your camshaft stops turning, you should have had piston/valve contact on the next stroke of the crankshaft. Both being made of metal, they can't occupy the same space and one will give.
Are you having any adverse performance issues? Had a compression test done? I have to think you have at least 2 bent valves that aren't closing all the way anymore.
