The slave was still good, he polished the bore and replaced the rubber bits - not sure where he got the parts. Some here have cautioned against doing this, and I questioned him about it - he assured me that this was a sensible approach, he has done many of them. He is an award-winning former dealer mechanic who ran the shop at now-defunct Field's SAAB (dealer), so I think that he knows what he's doing - it's been good for two years already. I guess that Walter has had different results?
I did not do the clutch master at the same time, had already replaced the line when it leaked, did do the rear main seal preventatively.
