see if I can get her to pull the plastic cover and take a picture. I'll send her shots (probably video) of what to do from the car I have here. Then we can see if the clutch is really worn or not. Then if it looks OK she can just go to Walter for the master cylinder and the throttle cable. So I take pix/video this weekend. He's 45 miles of LA Freeway away, so we're looking to minimize pain if we can!
She's done some basic stuff before (oil, plugs, filters, etc) and put a new battery in by herself a few months back, so she's willing to try stuff.
Still, I do wonder, at 181K, how much life the rest of the clutch has. Two kids learned to drive a manual on this car....
So we'll see.
