Hi all!
I bought a non-running 1972 99 just before the rainy season in Seattle.
He sat at my girlfriend's house and now I'm starting to clean him up a little, but the most important task is to replace the timing chain.
A side note------> He sat over the winter without a hitch until yesterday, when SPD wrote an 'over 72-hrs' ticket. They'll impound Fri afternoon unless I move the car.
My plan was to tow it to my place in Queen Anne, but now that I think of it, I really should have the timing chain replaced by a professional.
I have a new timing chain with all the guides and sleeves (purchased before I owned the car) along with three used alternators that have not been tested.
I want to take my car to R & H Garage on Aurora (99) and Winona in Seattle.
Can anyone give me some reviews or kudos regarding this shop?
Also (if I decide to install myself), any ideas or tips on installation?
The last thing I want to do is screw this car up by botching this before I get to anything else!
Sorry for the long post, but the hour's late and my belly full after 2 Hale's Cream Stouts!
Thanks and Peace.
