It read to me like he was trying to send a generalized message rather than directly address all the specific sub-threads on the bb. So perhaps that is what you mean? In his response to my email he said that it was generally not their policy to participate directly in bb threads, and I think that is quite wise for a number of reasons. But I think the main issues people cited here were addressed: high free shipping level (now lowered, I wonder if that is sustainable though?), parts availability/stocking issues (bigger warehouse + more purchasing staff), shipping issues (more shipping staff), customer feedback issues (more customer reps + longer hours, better ship notification)...

Expansion of a business is rarely trouble free. I think that is the crux of it. 1 or 2 guys can kind of run a show like that for a while, but as more people use the business, they get stretched too thin, can't keep up, + need help + more space... especially if they need to be on the phone a lot sourcing saab parts that are unobtainium, they can't also be on the phone with you and me... growing pains are inevitable, but really if a year from now there are 5 "Deans" to work with, we all win... I hope that's how it works out, anyway!
