"What car/motor/year will give me a reliable and driveable high 300 - low 400hp car?"

My awd '00 S4 did 12.5 at113mph and I have ohlin coilovers with 650/750 hyperco springs for handling. The 6 spd tranny can handle unbelieveable amounts of torque without snapping. I've had it modded for two years now and drive it hard with no problems. Only the '00-'02 S4s have the twin turbo V6 and they're getting to be very cheap to buy. The only problem for autocross is it weighs 3500 lb without me in it.

I always had to let off the gas with the viggen while turning. It didn't have lsd and even if it did you still need to let off to be able to steer. I can keep it floored with the awd.. but now I have to let off because it hurts my neck.:)

I agree that an older 9000 would be fun to modify.
