Does this car come w/ it's records? A 2.1l Saab engine from '91-'93 is practically guarunteed to have a head-gasket failure by 116k miles. The factory installed coolant corroded the alloy in the cylinder head. Either their's a fat bill for the repair in the glove-compartment (or somewhere), or, someone w/ a trained eye can look at the gasket itself where its forward, driver side corner sticks out from between the block and the head, and see whether the thing is relatively new or is 116k miles old. If it's the original gasket, there is NO WAY it doesn't need repair. How else to say this: It's possible that it's not the head-gasket - as in it's possible that the President is from Mars. But it is entirely unreasonable to say it's not the head-gasket.
Further, if the gasket is new, that still doesn't mean it doesn't need to be replaced again. In the sense that anything is possible, Stetson's may be right. But their claim doesn't have a chance of being reasonable unless they can show that this repair has already been done, and done properly. I would consider getting back your $$, and waiting for the right 5-speed to come along, from a different dealer.
