Speaking as someone who has dealt with Stetsons as well, you too have been duped by howard. I agree with the posts above, get a second written opinion, go to Cold Brook Saab if you have to(don't go to Augusta), or if you need the names of a couple of good saab guys in the midcoast just email me.
You bought a car on the good faith that any problems you addressed before signing the papers would be dealt with as soon as possible and that any problems that you discovered within 30 days or 1000 miles would be dealt with under warranty. An option is to take the car back and tell them you want your money back. you'll be out the tax and reg. but you wont have a nightmare sitting in your driveway every night. call an attorney in the morning and talk to someone. you're getting screwed, dont let him do that.
he is the reason i drive to Portland to get my car fixed, and i live 15 minutes from Stetsons. The mechs there are good but he's an #@(*$&#
