"There is no way that one can tune LH as finely or as precisely as any stand alone system. The same goes for Trionic. The best way for 'chiptuning' is to have your car on the dyno, with a wideband, with the chip burner sitting there analysing everything, and burning a chip right there."
1) The first statement is somewhat at odds with your second, in which you state there -is- a way...
2) This is exactly what Frank at Sweedspeed is going to do with my LH 2.2. Ignition > custom reprogrammed DI. So you tell me why I should go through the trouble of ditching the complete engine management and start from scratch with stand alone. I'd only do that if I were racing and developing the car further and further between events. Not me: I want this thing to be finished for once. :-)
Oh, cost - well under $1,000 US for DI install (DIY) and ECU reprogram. Fit and forget. Would be $4,500 with stand alone (don't have my own dyno & engineering facility...).
