ironically i felt the opposite. the cockpit on my 9-3 felt cramped(i'm only 5'11-175lbs.) and narrow. I'm far more comfortable in the 325, it not only feels much larger, it actually is.(check specs) Yes the 9-3 is a very good engine, but the bmw in-line six...it is a smoothe as it gets ! it also has a nice "throaty" sound. My 9-3 was like an electric car ..it was actually too quite. RWD is much better for handling (except snow of course)
the bmw has far more technology, Dynamic Stability Control, 6 airbags, more stable braking. ALL that being said, the 9-3 with the available dscounts is probably a better VALUE. If the two were the same price, most would choose the 3, but since its not the same price....the 9-3 looks real good.
