Do you want more government involvement to regulate all businesses or do you want market forces to regulate automatically?

The beauty of US is that market forces regulates things and everyone is allowed to charge what they want. That doesn't mean they stay in business though if no customers show up.

I might not agree in his way of doing business but if he has more customers than he can handle and also be closed now and then when he feels like it, he is doing something right.

Just because Kreti and Pleti can buy a part online for a certain price doesn't mean everyone have to follow that price structure.
I certainly cannot match online prices and have no interest in doing so.

I need to rely on sources that can get the part in, in short notice within the day and that might not be the same price as an online outlet store that might sell out a batch they bought cheap somewhere.

If you have bought enough parts online you might have found that some parts are out of stock with no expected delivery date and some takes days extra because they have to source the part from their suppliers (eeuroparts do this for instance).
