You are totaly right. My car is low mileage (77k) and I dropped 4K for it last year. When this guy called me on the phoen at work he basicly told me parts were 1100.00 alone and that I needed to think if it was worth putting the money into the car or not fixing it. The car is mint. He really caught me off guard and I told him to do the work without researching it. It would be one thing if his price for the parts was his price. I beleive he was less than honest and when called out on it one less than honest statement led to another. He may be an awesome mechanic amd if you have money to throw away, so be it. This car is a luxury to me, but I dont have money to throw away.
