I find this to be very interesting. I had read all about the Viggen's "torque steer" long before I got mine, and the consensus on SaabNet has always been that the press reports have been grossly exagerated. Needless to say, I was greatly surprised at how severe the condition actually was, once I purchased my car. I've decided that the amount of "torque steer" must vary greatly among individual cars. The steering on my car surpasses the level of being dangerous, while others report little steering problems at all. The most likely variable is the quality of the tires. Judging by the quick response you got from your dealer, I'm wondering if Saab isn't aware of this as a potentially major problem - and if they are, why are they still shipping these cars with the Dunlops?
