My dad bought one of the early APC controlled 8V 900 turbos new in 82. That was 4 years before me, so I rode to the hospital to be born in that car. Black 900 3 doors have alwayts been in my family, and being young I went for a low priced 85 SPG to retatin the early nose. I've always been attracted to the cars, and my dad's being able to drive his to work every day for 18 years with minor mechanical issues (mind you we live in Palm Springs, where the summers are brutal) is a testament to the cars build. I like the innovation that goes into the cars, along with the exoticism of turbocharging, good fuel mileage, an extremely safe car, enormous cargo capacity (it hauls my brother, myself, our frind, with all our school stuff and a french horn trombone and tuba home from schoool) and the fact that I can jury rig most fixes, and keep it running. The car has been a fantastic first car, and along with one of my buddy's 66 mustang has tought me much of what I know about cars, and much of what I know about tuning it and making it run like I want it.
