Well I have been asked this question a lot of times cause I´ve had a few (SAAB´s). There many answers to that question, "safety" is one of them and "my father had a dozen", of course "comfort" is a strong one, "the turbo is great" is a classic, and last but not least "it has such a strong engine". There are more answes but these are the best.
You talk about other cars with big engines and many cylenders, well here in Iceland we have very expensive gasoline so the SAAB is a good choice if you want a big car. My SAAB only has only 4 cyl. and 2.0l displacement, but the turbo charger enlarges it and now I have a car that weights 3000 pounds and is over 400 hp. On my website you can see the dynoslip and the car is really pulling like a rocket.
Saabs are easy to repair and I repair my cars myself, makes me love my SAAB.
