I drove an electric forklift when I was in college back in the early 70's and as I recall we worked it like a dog for two shifts between recharges. The thing was bullet proof and that was 40 years ago. The simplicity of electric cars is amazing compared to gas powered cars. I think when they really get electric cars dialed in as far as batteries, recharging times, infrastructure, etc. it'll be a landslide much like the change from film to digital cameras. When/if they get good enough, people may not even want gas powered anything. Converting classic cars to battery power would be a natural offshoot
