Depending where you live a RWD car like the BMW, MB or IS300 will not be
very usefull... no matter how much you tweak the traction control.
So well, yes a BMW might be a nicer drive on most
days as well as it will be a nightmare on others.
I don't see any real intellectual effort by the C&D
staff cause obviously FWD and AWD cars are better
all year around in areas that have snow in the winter.
As to the current 9-3, the 2001 version is very decent
and it is the best 9-3 ever. As a new 9-3 is due out soon
the whole calculation will change as then the SAAB will
be the newest car of the lot.
So... kind of unfair test result in my opinion.
As to me, I would rather drive a 9-3 then a 3 series that
will look 10 years old in 2 years... talk about styling at
BMW, they style so much they look old real quick.
Regards,
Coolknight
