I would rather have the Viggen then the 330 BMW anyway, but as it goes, the 325 and the SE are very closely priced when equipped with similar options, leaving the Saab a little higher. The 330 loaded is over 40 and is more then 5 grand over the SE but the Viggen is in that ball park. But then you are talking about two different cars. I guess when it all comes down to it in this segment. It seems that everything is like comparing Apples to Oranges to Pears. The BMW has the IS300 as it's only Real Competitor until the new X series Jag comes out, I guess the C class could be considered a competitor too. The Saab is possibly more closely compared with the ES300 Lexus then the others, but the Lexus is very sedate where the Saab is more sporty, putting it back into the whole BMW group. It seems to be the only Sporty FWD Sedan in this class besides maybe the Infinity I30t, which is 3 thousand less but not as responsive. The Audi is almost in a group of its own unless the BMW is equipped with the costly option of AWD.
I guess I am just rambling, but it just seems that no matter which way you do a comparo, you will always be wrong because there are just too many aspects to compare the cars with.
