My brother and I have used Amsoil synthetic (10-30 & 10-40) for nearly 30 yrs. and Amsoil literature recommends [up to 3 times change interval] or 15,000 miles on our '00 S80 T6 turbo. They also recommend two filter changes during each year. Our own system is to go 10, 000 mi, or 2X normal interval, and two filters per year. Check out the Amsoil site...some very good info and a comparison test of their 5-30 and Mobil One 5-30.
