filled makes me happy since my old engine was leaking and burning about 1 quart/month. I don't know what past oil was used but my mech said the engine was very clean and the tranny that was taken from this engine was in excellent condition so it seem that the past owner new how to take care of things. I've been using the jumbo Mann oil filters from SAS for a little extra insurance. I think I will do an oil change and filter in another 1000k to handle any gunk that may have been dislodged by the Mobil 1 oil.
Best, KB.
