The last body shop I worked at only did body repairs, unless there were some parts in the engine bay that were also damaged and needed replaced. Oil and paint don't mix, so we never made it a habit to contaminate the shop with oils.
It surely is possible they drained it, but there was no reason to do it for the repairs that were performed. Blaming them without proof is not a great idea.
