disagree - if motor's sludgy, might just jam the screen

maybe the amsoil flush won't but there are plenty of flushes out there than could dislodge a whole lotta gunk and with a fine screen......I'd be concerned. Too many destroyed-engine stories after an agressive flush floating on the net not to be.
If I had a sludged up motor, I'd hand clean as much out as possible, then maybe run the flush, then drop the pan and check the screen, then definitely switch to full syn to clean the balance out gently (amongst the other benefits). Better safe than sorry.
