Many posters have owned the competing brands you seem to long for and don't agree with you. I sense a more general dismay in your comments. About the glove box being too deep and golf clubs not fitting in well enough, both these items aren't better solved with more mainstream German or Swedish cars.
Is this your first highline car? Did the Saab not convey the status you wished to acheive? Perhaps in time you will come to value the uniqueness and individualism of a Saab and not try and measure it against qualities you only perceive in other brands, particularly as those brands are plagued with even more complaints of the very same nature you describe.
And finally you take us from not being as good as a Benz or BMW, to not even being as good as a Honda Accord, which brings me back to my original question, is a Saab a little too far out of the mainstream for you?
