Something i have noticed that is very helpful... I replaced the front and rear speakers with kicker 2-ways (4 inch, and 4x10 on my spg). I also replaced the head unit with a sony mobile ES unit, which is a very awesome head unit. I added subwoofers at the time for bass at the same time so i had a really sweet sound. But when i blew a fuse on my sub wire (long story, not worth telling) i had very little bass. I removed the sony and replaced the stock since i had clamped into the wires and left the harness inside. With the EQ and all, the sound is very awesome, much better than stock. The head unit is good, with the eq properly set, you just need good speakers. If you have the means though, add a subwoofer, i have a really loud system, but unless you listen to music with tons of bass like i do, a self powered 10 inch by infiniti or someone else, would complement a good headunit, and set of speakers very nicely and create a nice range of sound. Gary's kick panels are also very good. You may want to consider them as a set of 4 inch speakers won't put out all of the bass that a set of 6 inch mid ranges will. I suggest (among other things) that you go to a car audio specialist and get their "oppinion". I took my spg to WeeBee a/v in lancaster and they hooked me up nicely. I spent about 1200 dollars. It would would have cost more but i timed it right and bought my amp and subs on sale. Hope this helps you out.
