Thanks for the compliments on my kick panels but they are actually on Dave N's site!
Anyways, it depends on how much $$$ you want to spend & also how good you want it to sound. Simply getting a $150 CD player & $50-100 4 in dash speakers will do wonders. There are tons of ways to add a little low end to your car w/o taking up space. 1 thing I did was to simply build a small box under each front seat holding 6.5 in speakers. They had their own amp & were actually my subs at the tims, it sounded awesome & took up ZERO hatch space!
Kicks are definantly the best bet but plan on spending $150-300 for labor & $100+ for a component set. However doing this, rear speakers are a waiste so it really isn't that much more $$$ :o)
