Hey Ron,

You obviously believe very strongly about this. But it is a slippery slope in the upgrade direction as well--why not spend $50 more per tire to get that added measure of security? Why not spend $100 more per tire to get an even greater measure of security? Perhaps you would be willing to pay for upgrading everyone's tires one speed rating? That way you can rest assured that everyone is well shod.

I can't help but question the "recomendation" of tire sites that insist that everyone should spend more on tires. After all, they have a lot to gain if people follow this suggestion.

As for Wet Traction: Look at some actual ratings at Tire Rack. The Pirelli PZero gets a wet traction rating of 6.8, the P6000 a 7.5, the P7000 Summer gets a 7.6, and the Dunlop SP Sport A2 gets a 8.7
