Atleast not because of its semi-independent design. Many manufacturers are using non independent suspension systems. Nissan stopped using independent in their sedans, I think they are using a similar system as the 9000 has. Look at VW, Golfs and Jetta's use the same design as our SAABs. These cars all handle beautifully. Nissan claims this new design is cheaper and offers better control. I dont think its the system that makes the difference, I think its how the chosen system is engineered. You dont need independent suspension to have the best handling, although it would be nice to have. I think the designers could have put a little more effort into the suspension, and only because I hear so many complaints about it. I have no problems with my car, it does what I expect it too.
