I am in the Baltimore, Maryland area. Fingers crossed, if this car is inspection-passable by January 6th, it will be driven to Pittsburgh, PA for good.
I doubt the interior light possibility - I lovingly stare at the car far too often to not notice it or a hatch light staying on.
We have a solder gun here and I've opened up the orange lampcontrol relay (not hard to do with a small screwdriver) and the solder joints like fine. I've read that it could be "microcracks" - should I just heat the joints until they re-seat, and try from there? If that doesn't work out there's a junkyard up the street that has a handful of NG 900s that I will try and procure a new relay from. Front reverse sockets will be harder - I will try the 9000 parts on this board.
Thanks for all your help and suggestions, you lot are a far more knowledgeable and helpful crowd than the ones I used to ask about for advice with my BMW 328 coupe!
