Well, I got a 30-day temporary sticker and hard tags today so took it for its first drive...
Voltage during driving hovers around 11.8-12.0 V. No systems appear to be affected.
But I think I am only getting base boost. It was raining so I didn't really gun it, never going above, say, 50 mph or 3500 rpm, but the boost needle never went further than the middle of the yellow during acceleration. Do I need to be going faster/at higher rpms to see it cranking more boost?
The "mechanics" that previously had the car stated that fuse #5 - APC fuse - blew twice under their "guidance" when attempting to start the car. Replacing the battery fixed the starting problems, and the APC fuse has not blown since. Having read a number of posts, is it likely my BPC valve? Even worse, is there a possibility I've nuked the ECU because of this? The car is fast right now, especially for a 4-cylinder, but I'm not sure what I should be expecting.
Thanks!
