Turbo & engine lifespan - HOT vs standard

I'm still waiting for the opportunity to purchase a new 2002 9-5 wagon. I planned on getting the Linear, but with everyone raving over the Aero, I at least plan on driving one before making the purchase.
Having never owned a Saab or car with a turbo before, I have a question about the longevity of the engine and turbo unit. From what I've read, the engines themselves are the same in the Linear and Aero except for the turbo units. Is this true? It seems like the engine in the Aero would run at a much higher temperature due to the higher output of the turbo. If this is true, how much does this hurt the engine over its life?
In general, what other problems are you apt to experience running a small 2.3 engine with a high output turbo like in the Aero (that you might not see in the Linear model)?
