Also compare Saabs Turbo V6 to the competition, it will show how they have not made the engine competitive. Acura TL-S 3.2 V6, all aluminum, 260hp,232 lb-ft of torgue 19 city 29hwy. Nissan 3.5 V6, 255-280hp, up to 260 lb-ft of torgue, 19 city 26 hwy, Audi, BMW,even Cadillac CTS have more horse power (though less torgue) than the SAAB Turbo V6. Performanc numbers are also better for those cars, the SAAB Turbo v6 holds no advantage over those cars. The AERO is competitive with or superior to all of the competition using a small 4 cylinder. The lpt 4 cylinder has a competitive torgue curve without the weight of a V6 and better fuel economy. That at least compensates for its horse power deficit compared to the comp.
