Yo! Aeroking, lighten up on the anti-V6 rhetoric. Many of us on the board drive the V6 model and love it. Apparently, you love your Aero. That's great. If you haven't noticed, this is the 9-5 board. Not the 4 cylinder board.

Personally, I would not have bought a car this expensive without a six cylinder engine. It's availability is the only reason I even looked at a Saab. That V6 "marketing" ploy brought me into the fold, and I'm sure alot of other first time owners. Lots of people wince when asked to drop close to 40 large on a 4 cylinder. Actually, they don't wince, they buy a BMW instead.

Now that I really appreciate my car, and the BRAND...and have read the loyal posts of all the 4 cylinder model owners (both lpt/aero) I have respect for the possibility that it's a viable and for many people a superior choice.... (but then, I guess that's why they make chocolate and tutti-frutti ice cream.)

I doubt that the 4 cylinder model is going away anytime soon, but I did notice in my new issue of Automobile magazine, and on this site, that the 9-3X has a 2.8 litre Ecopower V6 Turbo. In fact, Automobile says "you're basically looking at the new 9-3 here". Hmmm, kind on makes you think. Saab is never going to get to its projected goal of 200,000 cars a year if it doesn't broaden its appeal and its model line. It's unlikely they can do that without a proven V6 in the mix.

I tried to keep it positive here. But let's face it, you drive the 4 cylinder model, people who post queries about various models, pluses and minus, etc....want to hear from the owners. Comment all you want about the Aero, but let the V6 owners speak for themselves.
