The car mags seem to pretty much ignore Saab, but recently they've had a few interesting things to say.
Ezra Dyer (who used to own a '91 9000) in the April Automobile "BMW can indulge in any act of whimsy it chooses. For instance, someone at BMW says, "What if Saab still made the 9000? What would it look like?" The next thing you know, they roll out the 5 series Gran Tourismo..."
Another columnist (who claims his parent's 99 was his favorite Saab), same issue - regarding the 9-7 "was an egregious violation of brand values. It was, in terms of misunderstanding one's target audience, on par with showing up for a meeting of the College Of Cardinals with a bag of weed and a transvestite musical revure."
Actually the whole column is pretty good. I hope no one is offended. Now that GM is out of the picture do we still have to make nice about 9-7's?
