I guess what I mean is not that the truck looked out of place for being a truck, but that all the interior looked different than the other Saabs (or at least the 9-7x I looked at in a showroom): ie the leather looked like the leather you'd find in a (nice) GM model, steering wheel, dash materials, layout etc. Not bad, just obviously not the same aesthetics of the other cars in the showroom, and didn't strike me as quite the same quality either. It looked out of place. Not bad for what it is, just out of place. In contrast, they did more to change the impreza interior to make the 9-2x (though they missed putting the key in the floor). Even that one, the seats *look* like Saab seats, but they aren't (particularly obvious in the back). Again, nice car, but obviously rebadged...
re the Cayenne, I'm in Canada, and it starts at $56700 (looks like it's gone up in price this year). Toureg starts at $45300, but if you want leather seats, you're looking at highline which starts at $54300. I'd hardly say that the Porsche is exorbitantly more expensive. Certainly my porsche owning friends had concerns about Porsche making an SUV, but have warmed up to it + certainly do not have a problem with it because it is well executed.
