Well, imho, the execution of the Panamera + Cayenne is better. The 9-7x had very little in common with the other Saabs in the showroom to the point of looking out of place. Sure it has it's good points for what it is, but compared to a 9-3 or 9-5 in the same showroom, it was very very painfully obviously badge engineered, and that's the point (leather, dash, etc). I don't find that with the Cayenne...
however, the biggest test in how authenticly Saaby a Saab model is, is how busy it's Saabnet model page is... go look at 9-5 or 9-3 pages (nevermind c900), and then 9-7x... that says something ;-)
as an aside, yes, there are a bazillion Cayennes on the road, it's the cheapest Porsche afterall... but Panamera a big seller? I have yet to see one in the flesh, and they are in no way cheap - start at 6 around figures iirc, so they cost as much or more than most 911s... maybe I'm missing something there...
