Primarily rich folk who want to show the world their "green" credentials and how much they "care." So they drive around in their electric cars, lording it over us peasants and telling us we have to conserve, then go home to a palacial estate that consumes as much power as an entire middle-class neighborhood. They also don't have to concern themselves with such mundane issues such as the cost of the vehicle or its practicality (they have that full-sized SUV to do the heavy lifting and the Bentley for long-distance runs), or the possible cost of battery replacement down the road.

Back here on earth, most people have to work hard for every dollar and can't afford that kind of showmanship.
